Special Work is what my daughter calls the preschool workbooks that you can buy from places like WH Smith amongst others. She loves doing these, you can see the way her face lights up when she has successfully completed each page.
Whilst I see no reason why she shouldn't be allowed to do these books others say it makes me a pushy parent, yet I beg to differ on this point as at no point have I ever forced her to do these. Others claim I am taking away her childhood and that she will be doing this kind of thing when she is at school, whilst this is true surely it is better to allow a child to do something she enjoys rather than denying her this?
Whilst I accept that everyone has there own view on parenting I don't understand why people feel the need to criticise methods which differ from their own.
