Just because it is written in a magazine as a person's account does it make it true?
The answer is a definite no; this is because the account could be a lie not only this but the editors of the article also tend to sensationalise the story to get more readers or sustain the reader's interest. This is not just 1 source of media that does this, this happens in all media sources.
Not everything is black and white, usually most things are shades of grey so be cautious of what you see in the media as not only is there an issue with reliability but there is also issues with bias as it is usually only from 1 person's perspective.
