Anime

I don't know if it is just me but there seems to difficult to find anime on the high street some HMV stores stock a limited selection, which is a shame really. The best place I have found for anime is the internet; mainly Amazon.co.uk. Some say that anime isn't widely available because it isn't a popular genre but what do you expect when it isn't readily available on the high street? Granted there are some series such as Pokemon and Dragonball Z which became very popular in the US.

I really like anime and whilst I appreciate that it is not necessarily everyone's cup of tea I resent the stereotypical image that people have of those of us who enjoy anime and world cinema that we are all nerds with no friends or sex life. Admittedly it is rather amusing watching people's reaction when I buy this stuff as I don't fit the stereotype I simply have a broad range of interests and enjoy watching things that are not purely derived from Hollywood.
