Helping Friends

I know we all try to help our friends but where is the line that if crossed means your friend is taking the rip?

My thinking on this topic is dependant on the friends having a mutual agreement. With my friends I am happy to do most things for them providing that they don't abuse this and should I need they show the same courtesy.

It's things like if they borrow money they pay it back ASAP and don't ask to borrow more until they have paid it back. Or if they need someone to talk to then I'm here but when the situations are reversed they are there for me too.

I know that this is fairly obvious stuff but it's amazing how many people often take advantage and don't offer anything in return, these people are not true friends - sorry. A friend is there for you no matter what but at the same time will say when you are crossing the line.

My advice is if you have "friends" who are taking advantage get rid because you deserve better and shouldn't have to put up with this kind of person.
