So what is it?
It incorporates latin dance and aerobic exercises to create a fun workout that is easy to follow and gets the heart pumping. Having tried it myself I can definitely recommend it. I also found that it is a high enough intensity so that you feel like you have been working out but it not harsh on the joints, having problems with my hips I found this a definite plus for me because I am unable to participate in alot of high intensity aerobic exercises because of the issue with it placing strain on the joints thus meaning that I have to do mainly low intensity work outs which take a lot longer to achieve results. Plus with this regime there is the added advantage of the fact that I love latin dance, I think it is because the moves flow more and are not as jerky as they are in some other forms of dance plus the music is pretty upbeat without that annoying bass. So the routines don't feel like a chore which I find is the case with dance music, my colleague has also experienced in other workouts (see Bjorn's article called Traningsvark).
When it comes to exercise I have to enjoy it and there has to be some degree of variety in it otherwise I get bored and don't stick with a particular regime. At present I swim, do pilates, latin dance (alternating traditional latin dance and zumba), cardio boxing and I occasionally do yoga all of these I can recommend to anyone.
