Billy is a pug-collie cross and he was was my dog. I got him when he was 3 months old from a rescue centre, he was my best friend he soon became one of the family and came almost everywhere with us. Unfortunately due to a combination of a deteriorating health complaint and other personal circumstances we had to rehome him when he was 7 months old. Whilst I know he is well looked after as he went to live with a friend of mine there is not a day that goes by where I don't miss him. I personally feel that there is no better companion than an animal as they will love you unconditionally and wont betray you. I remember every evening Billy would come and cuddle up with me on the sofa and when I was sad he was there for me.
This is is why I can't understand why people can abuse these wonderful creatures or why there is the stigma against animals from a rescue centre. It is also the reason why I feel sick to my stomach when I found out about the fact millions of pets that have been euthanised as well as many unwanted animals from rescue shelters go to rendering plants and are turned into a white waxy solid called tallow or steriac acid and this is in:
- Pet Foods
- Cosmetics
- Moisturisers
- Wax Crayons
- Confectionary
- Candles
Obviously it is is not in all products that fall into these groups and these are not the only products that have been found to contain this.
