Steriac Acid

For any of you who have ever wondered what all the random chemicals are in a large number of products we use here is one that crops up frequently; Steriac Acid. So what is it? Well Steriac Acid is an animal derivative in some cases it is produced from euthanised pets, it is also known as tallow. Not all of this comes from pets however the statistics suggest that pets and euthanised animals from animal shelters do make up a sizable percentage of this. in it's organic state it is a waxy solid. It can be found in some lipsticks, crayons and other commonplace items such as some confectionary, shaving creams, dietary supplements and the list goes on....

For those of you that are not convinced there is plenty of literature on the subject as well as videos about it on youtube. One word of advice the videos are rather graphic and many will find them upsetting....I would strongly advise that you don't view them with children present.
