Anyone who has brothers or sisters will tell you that they argue from time to time some more than others, I know I certainly did with my sisters. My 2 daughters are no exception from squabbling over toys to hiding each other’s things. I’ve found that there are a few ways in which to deal with this:
- · Encourage them to share and take turns.
- · Put both of the girls on time out then explain that the behaviour is not acceptable
- · Confiscate the toy that they are fighting over
When they are having a dispute, regardless of who started it I ensure both girls are treated the same. This ensures equality meaning that neither of them is seen to be favoured over the other as at the moment my youngest who is 2 is unable to tell me her side of the story.
